Wedding Season

Its that time of year again! Wedding season! This is a wedding I did last year. This bride wanted a simple look so I just did natural makeup and loose curls pinned up so she can put her veil in. I love doing weddings I have a couple of weddings booked already for summer and super excited to do them!!

Brunette with Highlights

My friend from Maryland came to visit her family and I had the chance to color and cut her hair. We freshen up her highlights and used a 5N.

Haircut & Volume

My friend came over and she wanted to add layers in her hair for more volume. I also tried a new product in her hair its from Matrix and its a texture mousse. Whats cool is you can use it on wet or dry hair. The Victoria Secret models they style there hair and then use a mousse to give them volume so that's what I did with my friends styled it then added the mousse on her roots.

More Blonde!

I love the short haircut style I have been doing tons of them lately. Here are two clients I cut a couple of inches off and weaved in blonde highlights using Redken flash lift.

Cutting it Short

This little girl is so cute! She wants to have a short haircut but doesn't want to do it all at once. So I have been doing this super cute A line haircut with a tight stack in the back. I think this cut is so cute on little girls.

Brunette with highlights

I did my sister in laws hair she wanted to add some caramel highlights on the ends. I used all Redken products for her base color I used Color Gels 4NW. Then I balayage the ends with Redken Flash lift. We had to different appointments because we all know that if you are going lighter it takes more then one appointment to get to a lighter level. After that I toned her with Shades EQ 06NB, 08GI and 06GI.

 

 

Violet Tones

I love it when my clients want to change up there look a little. One of my clients I mostly use a 4N in Paul Mitchell. But she wanted to change it up and put in a little bit of violet in her hair. So I used Scruples blackberry collection I used a 4RV and I LOVED how it turned out!

it doesn't really show the true color I did this color at night so I didn't really have natural lighting.

Blonde & Brunette

My cousins came and got their hair done by me. One of them is blonde so I used one of my favorite bleaches Redken Flash Lift with 20 vol. For the brunette color I used Paul Mitchell 5N chocolate syrup. That is by far my favorite color to use on my brunette clients it leaves the hair so shiny and so rich. 

Joico Color Remover

One of my clients daughter came to me she is blonde and we just do a bleach root touch up. I would say that you shouldn't do it if you are not comfortable with bleach because if you don't know how bleach works it will ruin the clients hair. She already had that red streaks in her hair so we just did the root touch up. She made another appointment with me and wanted the red out so I got Joico Intensiy Eraser and this stuff is magic!! We all know that red is hard to get out of blonde hair I put it on with 20 vol and it got most of it out in 30 minutes! She made another appointment with me to remove the rest and we are going to do another root touch up and maybe add darker blonde weave. So I will have pictures of that!

Oregon and Seattle Trip Pictures

Oregon & Seattle Trip

Kurt and I had a chance to go to Seattle for his work. We first wanted to go to Georgia but it got filled up fast so I got to pick! We decided to make it a week long trip so we decided to go to Oregon as well. We woke up super early and went to the airport and flew to Portland. The first thing we did was went to voodoo donuts. It was super yummy! After that we drove around and just explored. On this road they have all of these waterfalls that you can hike too so we got a map and drove and hiked to 7 different waterfalls it was super fun one of my favorite days. The next day we went to Pumpkin Ridge golf course so Kurt can play golf then after we went to  Cannon Beach to go see Hay Stack rock. It was really cold and super cool we saw tons of starfish. we got into the car and it was like 6pm and we had to drive into Seattle that night we put that in our GPS and it said it was 4 hours away... we both just laughed because we had no choice but drive that night haha so we turned on tunes and drove and talked. 

Later that night we finally got to Seattle it is so different then Utah haha but I loved it! The next morning we decided to go whale watching.. We went on a ferry ride to a different island and went on another boat to look for whales. We didnt see any whales I was kind of sad because I wanted to see a Killer whale but we saw some other cool things so I didn't mind. Later that night we went back to the city and if you know me I love the movie 10 things I hate about you so I had to do a movie tour so we found the Fremont troll under the bridge. I am just grateful Kurt is up for anything and loves to do and see different things.

We woke up the next morning and poor Kurt had to go to meetings all morning haha I just stayed in the hotel room and watched Mean Girls and got ready. When he was done we went to explore the city it was nice because everything was walking distance. We first went to the gum wall and of course added to the wall haha we then went in the market and saw them throw fish and saw tons of different things. We saw the Ferris wheel and got tickets to go on it. When we got on it thats when Kurt and I said we are scared of them haha but hey when in Rome right??

We woke up super early to make it to Gold Mountain Golf course and let me tell you this is by far my favorite! Kurt got to play by himself so he had time to show me different things it was fun. Then I fell into a bunker so that was cool.... The next morning we went to the underground tour. Super cool and interesting I love that kind of stuff Kurt and I both love history so we like doing tours and things like that. Also our tour guide was so funny and he made it fun!

The last day we were in Seattle we went to the Space needle saved the best for last! we went to the top and it scared me to death so we didnt stay for to long took a picture and took off haha Then we started our way back down to Oregon to catch our flight on our way down we went to the high school in 10 things I hate about you and walked the football field.

Even though it was a work trip we did tones of things! We had a formal dinner and Kurt and I didnt know it was formal so I didnt bring anything so we are like whatever we will go haha well we went into the hotel and everyone was so dressed up I looked at Kurt and said we arent going and we got pizza instead and Kurt made me walk in a park in the middle of the night and this girl from Utah was scared there was homeless people and pill bottles everywhere! But this was by far my favorite trip! I told Kurt we need to go on a road trip up the coast drive to San Fran and drive all the way to Seattle I just love the coast!!

Lashes

To do these full set of lashes I used Borboletta's C curls doing more of a natural look. I am still new at lashing and let me tell you it is a art for use that you have to practice.!

Red Tones

My friend came in and wanted to darken up her red tones. So on the bottom section from the ears down I used 5RM. Then on the top sections I weaved in blonde baby lights and 5RR just to give her more Dimension.

Cool Blonde

Last Saturday I did this blonde weave on my sister. I used Redken Flash Lift with 20 vol. I had her process tell she turned into a light yellow blonde. After that I toned her roots with Redken Color Gels N07 to kind of give her a root smudge, and her ends with Paul Mitchell Pale Blonde.
