I love the story's of how people meet
there spouse. So here we go.. Kurt and I had a mutual friend I worked
with her at Subway (yup I worked at Subway 4 years but it got me through
high school and beauty school) I just broke up with my ex boyfriend who
Kurt new and was friends on Facebook while I was dating my ex Kurt
would see pictures of me and him and he thought I was cute. Well after
we broke up I went to a movie party with Taelor when I was there I guess
Kurt was there and he saw that I wasn't with my ex so after the party
he asked Taelor if I was single and she said I was. He asked her for my
number and she told him he had to get it another way. That night Taelor
texted me telling me a guy named Kurt Owen wanted to take me on a date.
So I looked him up on Facebook haha I said yeah I would if he asked me.
Well I was at beauty school and I get a Facebook message from Kurt. We
talked forever and for days.
Our
first date was June 1st 2013. He picked me up and the first thing he
said was "whats up I'm Kurt." That was the first time I ever met Kurt.
We went up to the U and played Frisbee golf and went and got pizza at
The Pie. Then after we got snow cones in Bountiful and if you know Kurt
he is friends with everyone! While we were out people were like TKO and I
was like what does that mean? Kurt started to laugh and said "The Kurt
Owen" I was like wow... haha.
After
the date I went home and my mom asked me about the date I said it was
fun but we are two different people and I don't think anything will come
from it.. Boy was I wrong haha Kurt and I kept talking and went on
dates but never became a couple. I would go on other dates with other
guys but there was something about Kurt I loved.. I would always make
sure I had a date with Kurt that week before I set up a date with
another guy. So finally on July 3rd 2013 we became a couple! I loved
being with Kurt he was so much fun and so different from the other guys I
have ever dated. He made me feel important and every time I was with
him I would have fun. Kurt and I both like to be out doing things one
time we got spring fever and we went on a motorcycle ride and it was so
cold I had to go home and change into warmer clothes haha
We
did lot of fun dates like Jazz games, hikes, going to the lake and
swimming and just going on drives. We went on a hike on the 24th of July
with his roommates and we sat and watched all the fireworks in the
valley that's when we got our first picture together. It was a fun
summer even though I was in school full time and had a job it seemed
like we always had time to do things.
On
Valentines 2014 Kurt finally told me he loved me! haha it took a while
but I was okay with it because when I met Kurt I was only 19 and still
in school and wasn't ready to get married so I was okay we just took our
time to get to know each other and enjoyed dating. Then finally we
started to talk about marriage that summer.
